Tony has just finished another fantastic job for us, painting our whole kitchen. As always, it looks brilliant and the care taken over the work, the level of finish and cleaning up is excellent. A. MARTIN Painters & Decorators have just completed their third job on my house over the past three years. The first was a really difficult task replacing damaged landing and hall ceiling papers, making good and emulsioning walls and repainting eleven doors.

Second was stripping, making good and redecorating a bedroom which had been used as an art studio for more than fifteen years. Finally, making good and repainting a double bedroom which had suffered rain damage.

We hired Tony to decorate a downstairs room that I wanted to turn into a home office, and I was very desperate to try and get it done quickly. I can’t recommend Tony & his wife Lisa enough. They were one of the few local people who actually could be bothered to return a message. Not only that, Tony came around at a moment's notice on the same day and at the weekend to give us a quote, which was such great value we said ‘yes' immediately. Then Tony said that he could switch things around in the following week and that he could start in a few days' time, which he duly did. He came on the day he promised, started at 8am and subsequently completed the job to the highest quality and standard in a couple of days. The standard of work is excellent, we are so pleased, and along with that, Tony is such a great guy, nothing was too much trouble. In addition to this, Tony’s wife Lisa was so helpful and attentive via email to help us select and obtain the paint. My first contact with Anthony and Lisa Martin was a year ago when they painted the entire interior of my not very easy house. I was so pleased with them that I invited them back to paint all exterior windows, doors, fascias of a house that is not easy to access.

Due to family commitments I had to rearrange my first appointment and they were very helpful in moving it to a more suitable date. They are professional and friendly - not always easy to achieve and very easy to have the team around when they are working. The house looks wonderful - special thanks for getting some difficult areas sorted before the louvre was replaced and for managing to work around a typical British June - lots of rain! I will be back in touch when anymore work needs doing - would not hesitate to recommend their work.

Tony painted our hall, stairs and landing back in February, and did a fantastic job! The quality of the finish was excellent, and it was clear that he takes a lot of pride in his work. My wife and I were very impressed with the final result, which was far better than what we could have achieved had we done it ourselves. At all times Tony showed a very good level of professionalism, and before the job we were provided with a very fair, thorough, and well itemised quote. I was hospitalised the day after Tony began work and I was laid up for the entire duration. This meant that I was unable to make any site visits to check the progress, but Tony and Lisa kept me up to date by sending me photographs. When I finally got to see the work, I was very pleased with the standard. Tony had found the condition of the ancient sash windows to have been even worse than they’d anticipated but they made good without murmur and made a very neat and tidy job of it all. I had the whole house painted from top to bottom and some coving added upon recommendation to cover up some rather questionable plastering from the previous owners. The work undertaken was to an excellent standard and the finish and the service provided was first class. Tony was able to offer various bits of advice on other decorating relted work that we were planning on and even managed to smooth over the rather mediocre finish from the previous plastering to give the walls the best possible appearance. The skirting board and door frames have now been painted and you can hardly see the uneven painting from the previous gloss coats applied by the previous owner. Exterior painting of our House was carried out to a high standard. Excellent communication from start to finish. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with during the quoting stage and before the work started. Tony worked really hard in the very hot weather. Nothing was too much trouble and their standard of work and attention to detail was excellent. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company. The whole experience was stress free. They even cleaned the gutters and the windows after and cut down some ivy encroaching on my roof.

After several years of neglect we finally got round doing something about the exterior painting of our house. Tony was prompt in his quote, which was competitively priced. The house itself is covered in a thick slurry dash render and had not been painted for many years. Despite initial bad weather and then soring heat Tony and the team arrived promptly every day and completed the works within two weeks. We had work completed kitchen/diner and stairs. This is the second time we have used Tony and Lisa. We were on holiday for a week and booked Tony so the work would be completed while we were away. Tony had a lot of repair work to do as I had had water damage on walls and ceiling. He completed it all and a superb job done, I would highly recommend this gentleman for work to decorate your home. I certainly will be using him again.

Anthony & colleagues have just finished painting the exterior of our house and we are thoroughly delighted with the end result. Not only is the finish of a very high quality, but their method of work has been exemplary. They were extremely tidy and even went to great lengths to protect any of the plants growing around the house, knowing how keen gardeners we were! Furthermore, our toddler was often around and they were very kind to him, and took great care to keep things out of his reach! During the work, we were asked if we would like some additional small jobs done that would add to the finish, and were pleased to see that those extra bits were priced very reasonably. We hope to have some interior work done next year and will definitely be asking for Tony’s help!

Tony and Lisa recently decorated our lounge (wallpaper) and hall/stairs/landing.
